This group of people came from Bunyoro. They came with Prince Kimera on his way to ascend his grandfather’s (Kabaka Ccwa Nabakka) throne in Buganda. The grandfather of this clan is Kidimbo and he is also the clan head. Their chief clan seat is in Bwanja, Ssingo.

Kidimbo had a son called Sendyona in Bunyoro who was a friend of Kimera. When news reached Bunyoro that Kimera was required urgently in Buganda to ascend the throne, Sendyona is among his closest friends he came with. After the ascension, he gave Mpakabula area in Busiro near Ganda to his childhood friend, Sendyona.
Their official duty was tanning animal skins for the king by Sendyona; first in Kawalira and later Mpakabula, Kapeeka. Ssekabaka Ssuuna II transferred this duty to Kiyini of the Mmamba clan later.

There are so many kinds of squirrels in Uganda but the common one is the ground squirrel. The ‘nkerebwe’ is arboreal and rarely seen on the ground. At the time of writing this book, the particular species was not yet confirmed.
