The delegation was led by its President Mrs. Josephine Kasaato who thanked His Majesty the Kabaka for putting in place such an initiative which is meant to lend a hand towards the sickle cell patients.

She also encouraged Ugandans, especially those planning to marry, to screen for sickle cell before marriage, for a sickle cell free generation.

While receiving the delegation at Bulange, the 2nd deputy Katikkiro and minister for finance, Robert Waggwa Nsibirwa showed concern of the dangers the sickle cell syndrome imparts on families especially when fathers start neglecting their responsibilities and live them to mothers hence making a heavy load on the mothers. “ Kabaka run is a good initiative because it has a genuine case towards helping the sickle cell patients”, he noted
