St. Stephens Anglican church of Kireka parish has organized a marathon with the purpose of soliciting for funds to support the needy.
The chief organizer, Rev Father Mmere Ewooma, said that people with physical disabilities need to be catered for like any other person. “In all government programs, people with physical disabilities are left out, as religious leaders we need to render a service to all people regardless of capabilities, hence the idea of putting in place the marathon.
While addressing the runners before flagging off, the chief guest, Nnabagereka Sylivia Nagginda, urged people to do physical activities regularly because it is important for the good of their health.
