KATIKKIRO CALLS FOR A SAVING CULTURE |

Katikkiro Eng J.B. Walusimbi has advised people in Buganda to adopt a culture of saving their own money.
Katikkiro who was meeting members of Naddangira Agalyawamu Savings Society from Masuliita in his office at Bulange- Mengo stressed that it’s very important for people to save money and start up their own businesses to fight poverty.

KATIKKIRO VISITS KISEKA TRADERS |

Katikkiro Eng J.B. Walusimbi has paid a courtesy visit to Kiseka traders who lost their business in an inferno that caught the market in the early hours of Monday.
Over 90 stalls were destroyed by the fire leaving the traders completely devastated with all their incomes gone. |

SSENDAWULA TOURS US-BUGANDA COUNTIES |

The 1st deputy Katikkiro and also minister for Buganda’s affairs abroad, Emmanuel Ssendawula is in the USA as part of his tour of Buganda’s Counties in the Diaspora.
On the tour, the 1st deputy Katikkiro has met several Baganda communities with the aim of exchanging ideas on how best the Kingdom can be developed and the restoration of Kasubi Tombs that were destroyed by an inferno in March 2010.

BUGANDA SCOUTS COUNCIL INAUGURATED |

Katikkiro Eng J.B. Walusimbi has officially inaugurated the Buganda Scouts Council under the ministry of Education and Sports in Buganda Kingdom.
At a function held in Bulange gardens, Katikkiro who was represented by the minister without portfolio in Katikkiro’s office, Israel Mayengo urged the scouts to be host and trustworthy in order to execute their duties well.
Walusimbi further appealed to the scouts to always be patriotic to their nation before anything else and urged them to fight corruption which described as worse than any other problem in this country.

BUGANDA KINGDOM REWARDS MUSICIANS |

In the efforts to develop and promote its cultural norms and values, Buganda Kingdom has rewarded a few musicians who have greatly accomplished this objective.
At a function held at Bulange in Mengo, Katikkiro Eng J.B. Walusimbi rewarded Mesach Ssemakula, Annet Nandujja and Mount Elijah primary school Kira for the way they have exploited their talents to promote and develop Kiganda traditions.
